Briefs
The hurling league 2D match at
Davidstown-Courtnacuddy on Sunday evening did not take place because the
referee failed to show. A practice
match was played instead with the highlight being a goal by veteran chairman
Denis Nolan. Taghmon-Camross rested
minor players because of the New Ross district final played on Monday (result
not available in time for column).
After the match selector Paul Hannon’s underpants went missing. Anyone with information should contact the
club and a reward may be offered. And if
there is any money left over from the People in Need telethon, Davidstown-Courtnacuddy
GAA Club might be considered a worthy cause.
The intermediate and junior footballers play in the league on Saturday
evening in a doubleheader in Taghmon against Castletown (6pm) and
Oylegate-Glenbrien (7:30pm). These are
important games for both teams and support is requested.
