We will be pleased to receive articles on any aspect of
woodfiring and woodfired ceramics.
GUIDELINES FOR CONTRIBUTORS

Length - Ideally 1,500 words.

Formats - Articles should be typed, and wherever possible, either supplied on disk formatted for Apple Macintosh computers, or as a RTF document if created on a PC. Alternatively articles may be sent as e-mail attachments, or copied and pasted into e-mail text. Please remember to retain a copy of your article.

Photographic Images - 35mm colour slides and larger format transparencies as well as photo prints are acceptable. Digital images are also accepted for publication. Please contact us for detailed specifications.

Up to six images should be submitted together with correspondingly numbered captions. Photographic credits should also be included. All photographic material will be returned following the publication of articles.

Diagrams - Whenever possible we like to publish plans of kilns to accompany articles. These should be drawn on plain paper, and delivered flat (not folded). Diagrams should also be supplied on disk if possible, and may be sent as digital images (information as above). They should be numbered and captioned as necessary.

Deadline - Copy dates are: 1st Jan.; 1st April; 1st July; 1st Oct. However, please send articles as and when ready.

Payment - Reward for published articles is as yet on a modest scale. We hope that prospective authors of articles would accept our offer of a two year subscription to The Log Book. If the author of a published article is already a subscriber, their subscription will be extended for a further period of two years.

When sending an article we would appreciate if you would let us know whether it has already been, or is due to be, published elsewhere. We generally prefer to publish original articles. Thank you for you interest in contributing to The Log Book. We look forward to hearing from you.
