"I have

and teachers"

Pathways Through Education is a project aimed at increasing pupils`self
esteem.

The project started in 1998 with the then first year group. The Pathways
team is currently working with them in second year. Three facilitators work
with the pupils in the classroom as a whole class, in small groups and on a
individual basis.

It is dynamic and creative in that, within its structured framework, each
lesson is specifically designed with the individual pupils`and the
groups`immediate needs in mind.

Pathways also aims to promote a whole school approach. It works in
partnership with staff members on an :

Individual
Small Group
Whole school level

The parents and carers of the pupils are also involved with the project.
Workshops for parents and staff are delivered within the school

A bi-monthly magazine is produced by the pupils. This acknowledges and
reinforces the positive aspects of the pupils, their schools and communities

Below is the stand that pupils put together for our recent Open Day showing
some of the activities with which they were involved in Pathways.
