On
another beautiful sunny evening in Palmerstown, our
footballers secured a comprehensive victory over Coon/Muckalee
in the third league match of the season. This victory
puts us back on course for a top two league position
and qualification for a semi-final.
For the throw-in, we were well focused and piled on
the pressure. Evan Walsh was in sparkling form at mid-field
and provided an endless supply of ball for the forwards.
Andrew Cantwell led the forwards and was well supported
by Cillian Buckley, Cian Tynan and Sam Johnson. Michael
Hayes also had a fine game at mid-field.
Our defenders had little to do in the first half. Evan
Guilfoyle, Eamonn Carroll and Caiman Browne were powerful
in defence. We introduced our subs in the second half.
Kieran Ormond and Ian McKeown were impressive.
