St. Canices 5-7 Freshford 3-2
This was not our best performance
of the year-in fact we were poor for most of the game.
A lot of our team had played last night for Dicksboro
u14 and perhaps the tiredness and the heat of the evening
contributed to our lack lustre display. If it were not
for a good spell just before half time when we scored
three goals, then we would have been under pressure
in the second half when Freshford hit us with three
goals of their own.
Our goals came from Eoin Cantwell (2), Cillian Buckley(2)
and Sam Johnson.
Best performers today were Joe Keohane in goal, Luke
O Hara at corner back, Nicholas O Shea and Mason Clifford
in the half back line. The remainder played alright,
but …….
