Footnote on Examples of Opportunities for Business

There is the case of big shopping areas. They are designed from the beginning to facilitate access by leaving sufficient space between parking places or public transport and buildings, as well as avoiding steps on the way from the halls of the buildings to shops and services.

We can say without fear of exaggeration that this conception of accessibility has largely contributed to their success as shopping and leisure centres. Similarly, the companies that have integrated this philosophy into their products and services have experienced an increase of their profits:
-Catalan Railways noticed a passengers growth of 17% in one station after making it accessible.

-Comelta's export of ticket machines grew by 40%.

-Santa& Cole found inspiration for launching a new line of products of urban furniture.

-The design of accessible websites is an added value for Argus.

And there are many other examples in tourism, housing, personal hygiene products, etc.
