Footnotes on Taxis

In a survey made over the period 1988-1999 out of 12.474 taxi trips the following figures about their destinations were obtained:

• 5% stations and airports
• 4% shops
• 2.6% Administration office buildings
• 6.1% hotels and restaurants
• 10.3% hospitals
• 72% others

The users' average age was 52.3 years old.

This shows the need for more accessible taxis because many of the users are of an advanced age or carry luggage with them.
