France 2006 -- Golf Trip Report
The legend tells us that an 8th anniversary is
celebrated with Bronze/Pottery.
So, having sat at this cursed keyboard for many a
thoughtless moment, let me assure you that it’s nigh-impossible
to segue
from Bronze/Pottery to the institution that is an
official ‘BPOP - Golf Trip’ to France.
Ponder this question:

You see, it pretty well answers itself:
Golf,
hard-luck stories,
beer,
food,
early/late nights,
xcuses,
glorious Gallic boulevards,
deja vu,
golf,
more drink,
endless gastronomic debates,
Gallic chic,
walking wounded,
hypermarkets,
wine stores,
Vans - pans - also-rans,
That’s about it.
Apart from ......................
Tales about sick boys
over-coming all odds;
The BPOB ‘Security
Squad’;
Couples walking their
baby/buggy down the 1st fairway at Omaha;
The incident termed >>
‘No room at the Inn -- for breakfast!’
Right not: We’re looking forward to
....................... 2008, the 10th anniversary trip.
It’s gonna be a biggie.
Finally, BigPete asked me to mention that he feels no
shame/blame/credit for the fact that he happens to appear in a
disproportionate number of the pics.
He was not in control of the camera.
Look at it this way: BigPete is merely peddling the same priceless asset he
brought to the football pitch for many years >> being in many
places at once!
