OK we all know the man with the John '3' '7' sign but have any of ye ever had any dealings with him.Well unfornuntely I did yesterday and I'm still in a rage over it.Went down home for the weekend with my girlfriend and my 15month old daughter. I'm not driving at the moment so we had to get the train to Limerick. Anyway coming back yesterday we were waiting on the platform in Limerick for the incoming train. The train pulled up and everyone starts getting out. Then they stopped coming out so there was a few people in front of me who started to get on.The next minute who comes around the corner with his big bloody sign only John '3' '7'. A girl had just boarded with a heavy bag and he tells her to get off (without saying please) so he can get out.She could have got past him but he wouldn't let her and she had to drag her bag off the train again. He then gets out of the train and my girlfriend was a couple of feet away with her buggy and our daughter. He walks straight in to her and says "move your pram out of the way, people are trying to get off the train".
I couldn't believe it cause there was loads of room if he had only gone left instead of straight.I told him that any he replied that she was blocking everyone from getting out with her pram.I told him that nobody else had a problem and if he wasn't carrying that stupid sign that he might have had less trouble. But he kept on and on that she was
blocking everyone with her pram even though she wasn't.My mother is a very cool customer and never loses her temper but lost it completely with him.She told him to get away home and stop harassing people.
This guy obliviously hasn't learnt much from all his Bible studies cause he's a pig ignorant man and as far as I'm concerned a dangerous one also!

I was struck by his complete lack of humour and warmth in his
interview on Breaking Ball a few years back. Don't ever let him
point his long beady finger at you. It would only frighten the
children. His god isn't the loving sort, more like the hell and
damnation sort?

Nice to see that someone else agrees with me? Perhaps he was
having an off-day? No excuse for not showing good manners
though.

He was in front of us at the Tipp Offaly game last year...He got a fair bit of stick from young lads on that occasion..I'd say he gets it a lot abuse etc and is on guard....In fairness lads anyone doing what he's doing can't be all there...On the ticket front I'd say he's a member of Opus Dei and is connected...Probably has people looking out for him if any hassle starts...Wouldn't surprise me at all...

What does "John 3' 7'" say. A bunch of young lads where asking him last year at a game in the park here and he didn't answer them. He figured they were taking the p!ss, which was true, but if he is all about God and all that then the least he could do is be cilivised and give them an answer.

My brother made the same point when he rang last night. He was as angry as me cause he goes to so many games and has always said this fella shouldn't be allowed in the terrace with that sign.
How is he allowed to take this in to the terrace especially when its completely full?Come to think of it,who gave him permission to take it on the train? He could whack somebody over the head with it!

The IRA are supposed to have a few on the
market at the moment.

What's that they say about the converted
being the most zealous. Dubya and Frank
Hogan are two good cases in point...

Looked it up on the Internet and there appears to be 2 different 'entries' for John 3:7.

They are as follows; "Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again" and "Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as He is righteous".

Take your pick.

she was doing was waiting patiently to get a 15month old baby in out of the freezing cold!

I might use that quote the next time I see him or else i'll print this topic and let him know that I told the GAA world just how dam ignorant he really is!

Saw him in Nenagh on Sunday. Actually, meself and Durlas Eile and his bruv were discussing him for a few minutes. Ye have to admire a fella that would travel to an unglamourous spot like Nenagh to be watching a game he's probably zero interest in.

and a friend of mine got a flag confiscated last year at a game. surely a sign that big could be classified as more of a wepon as well as putting everyone out as they cant see the game.

In all fairness though, some of those women pushing kids in a buggy can be a right nuisance. They push the buggy in wherever they want to go and with little regard to the child, then expect people to get out of the way while they stand there with this pitiful look on their face.

BBBH,
your little friend made another public appearance last night. He was standing all on his own behind the goals in thomond park at the munster v borders game. Walking past him I wondered did he realise how far his fame/infamy has spread

In most big match programmes it shows a list of H&S regulations. Going by that bottles, cannisters, flags, banners and SIGNS amongst other things are all prohibited from being brought into games.
