btw: why hasn't my own magnificent octopus received as much attention as the piece that started this thread? best thing ever to appear on this godforsaken site - no sh1t. even arrigle himself had nothing but high praise for it, paying tribute to my "deft touch".
smart, funny, kooky, unusual, stupid and profound, all rolled into one. it made them laugh, it made them cry, it made them check out photos of michael doyle to see whether his hair really did resemble a wig made from the bleached hair of a 1980s Ken doll.
and yet, and yet...how soon they forget. fcukers.

Copped anyway. But remembering words such as 'congerie' is a bit of a slip. It's very flattering to be so influential.

Good and hard: a contradiction in terms in Waterford.

Bye bye...

Sorry, Sherlock, you seem to have gone down a blind alley . What fun. But you were still on the meter so that will be €13.50.

How could you of all people have forgotten the "Double Bluff". Strongly suspected the track listing would get you . Thanks to SS* for starting the thread just in time and a big up to Dr Alex Patterson ( and lest we forget Muzik magazine Sept 03 ) for letting me copy 6 of his 10 favourite tracks of all time. I'll post up the other 4 any time you like. I hope that wasn't the loose end you had in mind.

A lot done - more to do Arrigle.

PS No one with even a passing interest in the language (clue!) could forget the word "congerie".

PPS I warned you weeks ago about this obsession. i have a fare to pick up in the 'Gorman at 7 - I'll ask them to keep a bed ready for you.

the plot thickens. Or does it DT? What is going on here. Who is bluffing who?

Did it really go bust or are you just saying so? Been to Easons lately?

Stirring it majestically as usual.

Rorschach, Half of them can't keep track of what they are posting themselves - they are using so many aliases, so how would they have time to remember yours. You'll have to what Arrigle does and keep bringing it to the top of the list. It's a dog eat dog world out there - you'll have to look after yourself.

Arrigle

It is time you took a break. While on the break you should learn to spell. It's even more difficult to take you seriously when you can't spell simple ones like plagiarise and prejudice. And I while I'm at it, shouldn't it really be "congeries" and not "congerie". You begin to look like the man on the Good Old Days using big words for the sake of it but lost as to their meaning.

Word of advice - don't ever go on Call My Bluff or indeed Countdown. It could get embarrassing. Best to give Scrabble a miss too.
Anyhow I suspected you wouldn't be able for the full retirement. Where else would you have found an outlet for your talents

All the best...

Thanks for the kind words. A break, I should have said.

Dead right about the tight respect between the counties.

I've seen that sign-off somewhere before ...
Good to see he doesn't influence you in any way.

Hmmmm the pride and predujice(sic) references are seemingly becoming your shibboleth. Less of triteness and more about the fetish.......
