Picture of old Courthouse

A Petty Sessions Court was held in the Courthouse fortnightly presided over by a Resident Magistrate. In 1919, due to the disturbed conditions then prevailing the court sittings were abandoned. The last Caretaker during the British regime was Mrs Staunton. In the 1930's the North Kerry Hurling Board held meetings here and also the Farmers Union.
