By pure chance, amongst the museum kit lying around at Johnny Fox's pub is my first car! This is an Austin 7 Ruby saloon, probably dating from around 1936. 4 cylinder 750 cc engine, water cooled, side valves. Cable brakes, inflatable seat cushions, semaphore indicators, opening windscreen, vacuum operated windscreen wipers (with manual override), and a host of other strange features! Doing 100 KPH in one of these is the closest thing to flying without leaving the ground! Also, the most fun you can have with your pants on!
