In 1998 we visited the remote and rugged mountain desert Richtersveld National Park, just south of the Namibian border. This was an incredible trip, with some really challenging driving, and some amazing scenery. The driving included dry river beds, rocks and powder-fine bulldust. On one occasion we got lost, but the detour was well worth it, as the driving was even more extreme! If you are not a Land-Rover enthusiast, you can probably skip these pictures, as they are a bit of a nostalgia trip for Oscar, our 1976 "Shorty".
