Eyeries, a brightly painted and beautifully maintained village overlooking Kenmare Bay, has been a location for a film, a mini series, and advertisments, namely Falling for a Dancer, Purple Taxi, and the Bord Failte advert. It is on the Ring of Beara route, and many of the Beara Way Walking routes. The whole area is rich in historical and archaelogical sites, legends and lore. This year, it received a Silver Medal for second place for their category in the Tidy Towns Award.
