ISCM - AIC sends a delegate to the annual conference of the International Society for Contemporary Music and organises the Irish contribution to the ISCM World Music Days Festival.
EU - AIC Executive Director attended a recent EU Commission conference in Finland on the Music Industry in Europe as a government appointed expert and networked with composer unions at 'In Tune In Europe' meetings.
Education - AIC has lobbied the Dept of Arts Culture and Heritage on the proposed Academy for the Performing Arts.
Commissions - lobbying for timely payment of same and reminding organisations of the recommended rates.
Locating other services (e.g. copyists venues etc) for composers.
Advising arts organisers such as the Sligo Festival of Contemporary Music.
AIC in 1999 provided or facilitated 14 concerts featuring performances of approximately 40 works by at least 26 different Irish composers and 22 works by prominent international composers. In chamber concerts 50 performers took part.
