Earth

The third planet from the Sun is one of the most geologically active planets in the solar system, with large volcanoes and great mountain chains. Water is abundant, as vapor in the atmosphere and as liquid and ice on the surface. Earth is the only planet in the solar system with and average temperature between the freezing and boiling points of water. Its most unique characteristic is that it supports and amazing diversity of life.
