Cobh is a great centre from which to tour the South West of Ireland
There are excellent road, rail and car ferry links to East and West Cork and to Cork City (20 mins),
St Colmans Cathedral. The architectural centrepiece of Cobh is of course St Colmans Cathedral. The Cathedral built at the turn of the last century dominates the town and is the landmark remembered by many of the emigrants that departed Cobh. The Cathedral contains the largest carillon in Great Britain and Ireland. Carillon recitals are a regular feature of the summer programme.
Cobh Heritage Centre. The Cobh Heritage Centre relates the Irish emigration story through the period of deportation and famine, to the economic emigration that took place until the 1960's. The centre has many unique displays and is a must for all visitors who wish to have the story of their emigrant ancestors.
The Titanic Trail. Uncover Cobh's fascinating heritage of direct links with Maritime, Military and Emigrant History. Explore the last hours of the visit of the RMS Titanic to the port of Cobh.

Fota Wildlife Park. Come face to face with over 90 species of exotic wildlife. Set on over 70 acres of open countryside, with many of the species wandering freely through the parks natural and attractive environment.
Fota Island Golf Club. Home for the Murphy's Irish Open 2001 - 2002. The splendid woodlands are woven into a challenging par 71 championship course. Fota is the gateway to some of the most famous and spectacular golf courses in the South of Ireland.
Fota Island House and Arboretum. Enjoy free admission to the wonderful Arboretum & Gardens and appreciate the beauty of trees from China, Japan, Australia and the Himalayas. Fota House presently being restored will open to the public again shortly.
Harbour Tours. See the beauty of Cobh from the water, on a guided tour of the Lower Harbour. Tours daily in the summer season.
Sirius Arts Centre. A great centre of culture in the town. All types of musical performances, artists in residence, and exhibitions.
Cobh Regatta. An annual festival of fun on the water and in the town, held about the 15th of August annually. Sailing, rowing, music and entertainment topped off by a fantastic firework display.
Cobh Museum. Housed in the old Scots Presbyterian Church. Tells the history of Cobh. Interesting exhibits.
Royal Cork Yacht Club. RCYC is the oldest yacht club in the World having been established in 1720. The Club was originally located at Cobh and has now moved to Crosshaven, which is just a short journey from Cobh. Great activities and sailing programme. A must for yachties.
