Allenwood Girls National School has registered for the Green Schools Award Scheme.

We are actively involved in caring for our environment at present.

We recycle cans, batteries and some paper.

Our garden is beginning to take off and in the Autumn we planted approximately 500 bulbs

in the grounds of the school.

There are two bird boxes in place and the birds are fed throughout the winter.

At present the team is conducting a school review and plans to focus on Waste Management

as the project for the next year, which we hope will earn us our first Green Flag.
