Dear friends,

The contents of these pages serve as a turning around the wheel of the year using the Christian festivals. It further works through a very organic, living and breathing Christianity which takes into account our most intimate relationship with the changing earth and her many faces.

Much of this work stems from an active living of these festivals in communities working and living with people with special needs. These communities are further based on the philosophical base of Anthroposophy, a stream of esoteric Christianity founded by Dr. Rudolf Steiner.

The contents come from the imaginative perception of the festivals in this context, and are presented here only as images. From such images it is hoped that this book does more than inform, but lives and breathes in the reader as a soul experience of cosmic rhythms.

The reader is here addressed as a friend as many of these thoughts were first shared as thoughts, talks and writings in the community where I have lived. Those whom these have been originally addressed to are my closest friends, and the family I have chosen. Throughout these writings I have tried to balance the personal with the objective, both to give you window to the cosmic truths, and yet give you these truths as they have burned in me.

May they live also in you, enriching and renewing you throughout the years turning.
