It is
probably easiest to give you a few targets. You will find that people are
a bit vague about road numbering, though main road signs are quite
good.
Beware - more and more signs give
distances in kilometres (km).
Anyway, if you are coming from the
west you may well come to
Dungarvan - follow signs for Tramore. Keep your eyes skinned for the Coast
Road. This road brings you eventually to Annestown, though it only really hits the
coast about 5 miles before you reach us. If you miss the Coast Road
turning, head for Waterford keeping an
eye for turns for Tramore or better,
Bonmahon.
Coming from Cashel, get to Carrick on Suir and cross the bridge,
turn left and follow the road you are on until you come to a much wider
road (I think about 8 miles) turn left, drive about a mile and as the road
sweeps on and left, take great care and turn off and sharp right; there is
a motor dealer and petrol station at this junction.
After about 3 miles there is a turn left
to Dunhill, which you should take. In
Dunhill either ask in the shop or bear
right around the end of the shop and take the third left and then left at
the next junction. This is Annestown,
not a complicated village.
Coming through Waterford, follow signs for Tramore (in the city signs for Cork may be more obvious, and you leave the
Cork Road on the outskirts of Waterford)
When you come to Tramore, disengage the brain; good ideas are
disastrous!
Just cruise through keeping to the road
you are on; as you come out of Tramore, you should pass Tramore Golf Club
on your right, and immediately after there is a copiously signposted turn
right, for Dungarvan, Coast Road and
ANNESTOWN.
We’ll be waiting.
