The funeral of Dr. Arthur Duff, the well-known Irish organist, and assistant director of music, Radio Éireann, took place from the Adelaide Hospital, Dublin, to Mount Jerome cemetery. A Service at the cemetery was conducted by Rev. J. T. Canon Armstrong, Rev. Dr. de Pauley, Dean of St. Patrick’s, and Rev. T. J. Johnston. Dr. Duff’s sister, Violet, was chief mourner. TRIBUTE BY COLLEAGUE “The music of Dr. Arthur Duff was well known not only in this country, but in many other countries through broadcast performances,” said Eimear 0 Broin at a Children’s Concert in the Metropolitan Hall, Lower Abbey St., Dublin, arranged by Ceol Cumann na n-Og. As a special tribute to the late Dr. Duff, one of his compositions, “Fishamble Street,’ was played by the Radio Éireann Symphony Orchestra to the several hundred children from Dublin schools. Mr. 0 Brain was conductor and speaker at this, the first of the concerts in the new school year.
