Rental Book Scheme

In order to avoid the soaring high cost of text books, we operate a rental books scheme. The college purchases the text books and rents them to students as cheaply as possible. To alleviate the hardship the cost can be paid in a system tailored to meet a students needs. Students buy their own copies and biros etc.

Welcome to the Desmond College which replaces the old Vocational School. This brand new state of the art building is of the latest modern design and it's facilities compare with the best in the country today. The new complex can cater for 400 students and it is conducive to the creation of a learning environment which caring, productive and progressive.

Each student is encouraged to participate to the fullest possible extent in the social, physical and cultural activities in the school, so that, on completion of his/her formal second level education, he/she may emerge as a self-disciplined, responsible and well adjusted citizen, capable of playing an active & positive role in modern society.

Aims:

  • To make our college a caring place where students can reach their full potential
  • We want our students to grow in self esteem, self worth and self confidence and we seek to instil in them a respect for people & property.
  • To set a pattern for adult life so that they will be able to adapt more easily to such things as punctuality, co-operation, responsibility and pride in their work.
