GLENGORT NATIONAL  SCHOOL

The national school in Tournafulla was opened in 19  . It is a four teacher school-Mr. Lenihan (principal), Ms. O'Driscoll, Ms. Curtin and Ms. Lenihan. The school has a recently built extension with an extra class. There are also computer, library & kitchen facilities. The school works hand in hand with the community and the children serve morning Mass. At Glengort national school the pupils receive an all inclusive education with emphasis placed on extra curricular activities. These include art classes, dancing & music classes as well as sports where both girls and boys take part in games with hurling being a favourite. The education pupils receive here is an excellent foundation for secondary school and it is a personal belief that pupils leave Glengort with the best Irish possible and also with a love of the language!
