Our
Aim
The aim of the society is to provide Gay, Lesbian and Bisexual people with the means to bring information and people together locally and nationally. Athlone GLB helps teenagers and young adults seeking an
understanding of their sexual identity through regular support meetings in
the Athlone Area. Meetings provide a safe space for confidential discussion.
This gives members the ability to open up to their issues and become intimate
through the safety of the group or individual meetings. Through group unity and understanding the shame and isolation
of being in a sexual minority is lessened. We hope to help people cope with their situation but most of
all let them know they are not alone.
