Ayle Studio is where
BABYCATSHAKE and Clean Shoes were recorded.
The studio and its equipment initially evolved around my own desires
as a singer/songwriter, however a four to five piece can be quite comfortably be accomadated.
Numerous other artists including
Irish traditional musicians have recorded material here.
(Marching bands are completely
out of the question.)
The studio is also suitable for album pre-production work and
editing projects, for example, radio documentaries.
The name
of Ayle Studio is derived from the Irish word 'Aill' meaning
'cliff', the name of a river close by.
Equipment Details It is a digital based recording system,
using a Terratec sound card in a high-specification PC. Microphones
are the standard SM58/57 and a couple of good condensor mic's
going through a Mackie desk.
