In September Ballinteer Community School will celebrate its Silver Jubilee.  In 1974 it opened as a greenfield school to cater for the burgeoning student population from the newly built housing estates in the Ballinteer area.  Today, it is educating many of the children of its original students and has established itself as a significant educational landmark in the region of South Dublin.

Ballinteer Community School is a central educational resource in the area.  Its doors are open to the public until 10.30pm every night and on weekends.
