November Holy Souls List
Envelopes available in both churches for you to put the names of
those you want prayed for during the month of November. Mass in
Ballina each morning at 10.00 a.m. and at 7.30 p.m. every Friday in
Boher.
Cemetery Prayers
Prayers for the Faithful Departed will be recited in Templekelly
Cemetery this Sunday at 3.00 p.m. and in Ballina on Sunday next. We
encourage families to attend together to remember their
deceased.
Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament
This takes place every week in Ballina Church every Friday after
the 10.00 a.m. Mass and, for the winter months will conclude at 5.00
p.m.
First Penance & Holy Communion
Enrolment will take place in Ballina at 7.30 p.m. on Saturday
next and at 10.30 a.m. in Boher on Sunday 26th November.

Parish Registration. We are always pleased to welcome new
members into our Parish Family and we invite you to enter fully into
our spiritual and social life. We hope that you will bless the
parish with your time, talent and treasure according to your means.
In order to update our Parish Records, we invite people who came to
live in the area recently to register with us. This information
assists us in planning the future needs of the parish. Registration
forms available from either priest after Mass. During the months of
September and October, we will endeavour to enlist as many ‘new
comers’ as possible into our Parish Family. If you have come to live
here and were baptised Roman Catholic we want you to be at home in
our caring church community.
Pioneer Total Abstinence Association. The AGM will take place
in the Lakeside Hotel on Tuesday next at 8.00 p.m. all pioneers
including new comers to the parish are encouraged to attend this
meeting. People who do not take alcoholic drink can avail of the
opportunity to join for long term or short term. Any Pioneers who
qualify for silver or gold pins can make arrangements at this
meeting to receive them.
Parish Renewal & Development A meeting will be held in
Ballina Church on Thursday next at 8.00 p.m. to organise
Prayer/Reflection for families who have been bereaved. All are
welcome.
S.U.A.S. This is a listening service for those bereaved
through suicide. Trained volunteers allow those who are bereaved
through suicide the time and space to talk when they are ready on a
one-to-one basis. S.U.A.S. (Suicide, Understanding, And Support) is
organised under the auspices of the Archdiocese of Cashel & Emly in
collaboration with the Health Service Executive. The service is
contactable at 0504-26366.
Senior Citizens Christmas Party. The annual Senior Citizens
Christmas Party for the Senior Citizens of the surrounding area
takes place on Sunday 3rd December at the Lakeside Hotel.
Mass will be celebrated at 4.00 p.m. in the Hotel followed by dinner
and entertainment until approx 9.00 p.m. We welcome all our Senior
Citizens to an enjoyable and relaxing afternoon.
Lottery
The Lottery Draw was cancelled last week as a mark of respect to
the Hannon family on the occasion of the death of Paul. The Hannon
Family is one of our promoters of the draw. Jackpot this coming
week: €6,200.00. The A.G.M. of Ballina/Boher Parish &
G.A.A. Lottery will take place on Monday evening at 7.00
followed by the draw. All who are interested in becoming involved in
running the lottery are invited to attend.
