Ballina Church Choir Launch CD

Friday, November 15, 2002 was a memorable day for the forty eight members of the Ballina Parish Choir, as they celebrated the launch of their first CD, "Day By Day". A capacity attendance at the Lakeside Hotel enjoyed a night of music, song and verse and were truly captivated by the Guest of Honour, Liam Devally, who even contributed to the night's entertainment with his rendition of "An Puc ar buile".
Liam was presented with a beautiful painting by local artist and choir member Moira Heneham.
Choir Director, Sadie Scanlan, wishes to express sincere thanks to all those who contributed to this wonderful venture.
The CD costs €15 and would make a lovely Christmas present to someone from Ballina living abroad. The CD may be purchased in the Sacristy after all Masses, or in Celtic Blooms, or Joanne's in Ballina, or  the Celtic Cat in Killaloe. For more information about purchasing the CD from abroad, contact

 Blessing of Family Pets

All creatures great and small gathered outside Ballina church on Sunday October 13, 2002 for a special blessing of "Family Pets" given by Fr. Tom Lanigan-Ryan.  From scenes reminiscent of Noah's Ark, pets of all shapes and sizes turned up for this special event to mark World Animal Week.
