Resources > Macaoimh Badges

Whats it all about ?
When somebody joins Cubs / Macaoimh in order to become a full member they need to be invested and complete the five steps in the Investiture Badge.  Then each year you do a different Arrow badge starting with Bronze and working up to Gold. You can start profiency or merit badges at any time.

Investiture
All new members are required to complete the Investiture badge.  Its actually very easy and there are only 5 steps in it.

Merit Badges
Merit Badges are normally done individually, although we do some together on hikes. They are noamlly examined on Wednesday nights from 7.30 to 8.30 in the Macaoimh Dún from January to May.
Bronze Arrow
è After being Invested, Macaoimh can progress onto the Bronze Arrow badge and start doing merit badges for the list opposite.

Silver Arrow
è To progress the Silver Arrow you should have completed the Bronze Arrow and be at least 9 years old.

Gold  Arrow
è The Gold Arrow Badge is the final macaoimh badge and  you should have completed the Silver Arrow and be 10 year old.
