Up

Ballinora GAA has two pitches. The main pitch & clubhouse is beside the Ballinora National School. The 2nd pitch is located in Ballymah,  half a mile on the Cork City side of Waterfall village. Changing rooms & facilities are available at both pitches.

See the two sets of directions and maps below for details on how to get to the main pitch coming from either Cork City or from Macroom. To Ballinora, coming From Cork:

From roundabout at Bishopstown Court shopping centre, (big Dunnes Stores on the road to Bandon) go towards city centre for 100 meters. Take a very sharp left going out the Waterfall road.

You come to Waterfall village after 2.5 miles.  There isn’t much to this, just a few houses.

At the far side (Bandon side) of Waterfall village, there is a pub called O’Shea's. Turn right at the pub.

You go under an old railway bridge. After another 250 yards approximately turn right.

After about 250 yards you will come to Ballinora village.

There is a housing estate across from the GAA pitch and Church. The lane for the GAA pitch is on your left before you come to the school and church. It is behind the school and church. Follow the lane down around the back of the pitch and the hall is in front of you.

To Ballinora, coming from Macroom direction:

Go on to the new road towards Cork.

Take the second exit.

Turn right at the round about at the top of the slip road, cross over the new road and go straight through the next roundabout. You will come to a T-Junction at the Curraheen road. Turn left.

After approx. 250 yards there is turn right. There is a large grotto at this turn.

Go up the hill. Watch out for the bad bend where the road narrows.

After about half a mile, there are two left turns at the top of the hill. Take the FIRST left turn. It is near the top of the hill. It is easy to miss it.

Follow this windy road for about a mile until you come to Ballinora village

The pitch is behind the church and the school so go past the school and take a narrow lane to your right.

Drive along this lane around the back of the church to the GAA hall.
