Tom O Connor Memorial Tournament.

Brendan Falvey , Chairman of Kerry Handball Board, presented the winning prize to Mike and Clive Counihan who won the Tom O Connor, 60 X 30, Doubles Shield Tournament on 15th August at Ballymacelligott. The father and son team won the Final 21/1, 21/6 when they beat Gary O Connor and Maurice Crowe. All players are from the Ballymacelligott Club.Gary O Connor is a grandson of Tom O Connor.

Boys 60 X 30 second round of Munster Championship. Kerry players, all from the Ballymacelligott Club, play Limerick at Ballymacelligott on Monday 16th August 1999 at 7.30pm. The players are as follows: U13 Singles: Gary O Connor U15 Singles: Denis Casey U15 Doubles: Stephen McSwiney and Seamus Moriarty. U16 Singles: Aidan O Donoghue. The winners go through to the Munster Finals.
