On Sunday 31st October at Croke Park the All Ireland Finals of the United States Handball trials took place. In the girls 15 and under Maria Daly (Kerry) beat Patricia Doyle (Wicklow) 21/5, 21/13

Maria, who is a member of the Ballymacelligott Handball Club, will now be a member of the Irish Team that goes to The United States in December. This is a great achievement for Maria and a great honour for the Club and County to have a player representing Ireland in the United States

Maria has been playing handball for four years and has many titles won Nationally in that time including:
U14 Singles (40 X 20), U15 One Wall, Colleges winner in U15Doubles: she was a member of Féile Na nGael Divisional winning teams in 1998 and 1999 and of Community Games U15 Team in 1998.
