Notes on bat watching

Buy or borrow a bat detector to take full advantage of bat-watching.

  • Wear proper outdoor clothing and bring a first aid kit.
  • Always leave word at your residence of your intended destination and a likely return time.
  • Do not disturb others on your rambles.
  • Close all gates and avoid livestock.
  • Be visible on countryroads
  • Be careful near water or boggy land.
