Dunboy Castle – once castle home of the famous O’Sulivan-bere’s who lead the great march north to Leitrim in 1602.  A separate large ruin was the home of the Puxleys, the owners of the Allihies Copper mine. 

Eyeries Village - This village has beautifully painted houses and flower displays on nearly every window- Parts of the television series 'Falling For a Dancer' was shot here in 1997. 

Ardgrooom ~ another colourful village and also is close to Glenbeg & Derryvegal lakes, both of which provides good trout fishing.  Nearby is a stone circle, one of the many archaeological sites on the peninsula.

Adrigole ~ reputedly one of the longest villages in the country offers: 

 An award winning craft shop and the highest waterfall in Ireland is all located around the base of Hungry Hill. 
Nearby the Healy Pass takes a scenic mountain route linking the north and south of the peninsula.
Castletownbere – The peninsula’s main town (pop. 1500) and the largest white fish port in Ireland.  Watch the fish being unloaded from the boats and transported off around the world.  Mooring for yachts in the harbour and great sheltered sailing in the ‘haven’ of Bere Island.  Two supermarkets, garages, coffee shops, restaurants, clothes shops, hardware and ships chandlers.
