Pupils are not required to purchase school books as Scoil an Chroí Ró-Naofa operates a book rental scheme. This is administered by the school and parents may be asked to make a contribution towards the purchase of new books and the replacement of existing stock. With the implementation of the Revised Curriculum, the school will purchase alternative textbooks for different subjects of the curriculum. Given the enormous costs incurred in doing this it is necessary to levy each family to assist in meeting costs. Details of the amount of the levy is sent to parents each September. Pupils are required to purchase copies, stationary, etc. and class teachers will indicate necessary items each September.
The books remain school property for the duration of the school year and parents are asked to ensure that all books are properly covered and maintained in good order.
