School Transport

The School Bus Service of Bus Eireann provides a school bus service to pupils attending Scoil an Chroí Ró-Naofa. Two buses are currently in operation:

One bus collects pupils from east of town and one collects from the west.

On the route from the east pupils alighting between Ahabeg Cross and Centra Service Station may avail of the service free of charge. For pupils between Centra Service Station and the school, there is a charge. On the route from the west, there is a free service for pupils alighting between Gour and Droum Cross while pupils closer to town are required to pay the charge outlined above.

Pupils attending the Resource Programme are in receipt of a separate service and accompanied by an special needs escort on each route.

Applications for the School Transport Service are processed automatically on enrolment and should you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact the school secretary.

Parents are requested to encourage their children to behave in an appropriate fashion on the school bus. Pupils who fail to observe rules risk exclusion from the scheme. Your attention is drawn to Bus Eireann's Leaflet entitled "Guidelines for Discipline and Procedures for Dealing with Alleged Misbehaviour on School Transport."
