About Me

My introduction to Complimentary medicine began in London when I trained and qualified in Massage techniques  Touch point Tsubo therapy & Pre-postnatal massage, I continued my studies over the years and also earned diplomas in Reflexology and advanced Reflexology in the Crystal school of complimentary medicine in Waterford Ireland and with Anthony Larking of the Institute of Reflexology Ireland. In 2008 I opened Meadowbrook Reflexology & Massage in Meadowbrook, Tramore. and in 2011 I extended my practice to Genesis clinic in Ballybricken Waterford city. I am a dedicated Complimentary Health Practitioner & Holistic Healer of the mind & body. All clients are special, and after a full consultation we will tailor a treatment to suit your requirements.

You will enjoy the warm relaxing atmosphere in my treatment rooms. I will play soft music to suit your taste, whether you need a treatment for sickness an injury an ache or pain or maybe you just like to be pampered. Call and see me, I promise you will not be disappointed.

Is Massage suitable for everyone?

For those who may be uncomfortable with a full-body massage, reflexology is ideal as only the feet are exposed and touched. As a complement to other forms of treatment, the technique is very safe and may provide relief to a full range of acute and chronic ailments to anyone at any age.

What happens during treatments?

During your initial visit, I will do a Free full consultation and discuss any health concerns you may have. And if you are having a Reflexology treatment I will ask you to remove your shoes and socks. Then while you relax on a plinth I will systematically work on each foot. Finger and thumb pressure is applied at different depths and durations over all the zones of the feet. Through compressing the bottoms, sides and tops of the feet, as well as the ankles, I can gauge which areas particularly require attention. I will remain within your parameters of resistance and comfort throughout the session. The gentle and calming treatment normally last 60 minutes.

  • Promote tissue regeneration, reducing scar tissue and stretch marks.
  • Pump oxygen and nutrients into tissues and vital organs, improving circulation.
  • Reduce spasms and cramping.
  • Relax and soften injured, tired, and overworked muscles.

  • Relieve migraine pain.

A Powerful Ally
There’s no denying the power of bodywork. Regardless of the adjectives we assign to it (pampering, rejuvenating, therapeutic) or the reasons we seek it out (a luxurious treat, stress relief, pain management), massage therapy can be a powerful ally in your healthcare regimen.
Ninety percent of disease is stress related. And nothing ages us faster, internally and externally, than high stress. While eliminating anxiety and pressure altogether in this fast-paced world may be idealistic, massage can, without a doubt, help manage stress. This translates into:

  • Decreased anxiety, Enhanced sleep quality, & Greater energy.
  • Improved concentration, Increased circulation, & Reduced fatigue

Furthermore, clients often report a sense of perspective and clarity after receiving a massage. The emotional balance bodywork provides can often be just as vital and valuable as the more tangible physical benefits.

Profound Effects
In response to massage, specific physiological and chemical changes cascade throughout the body, with profound effects. Research shows that with massage:

  • Arthritis sufferers note fewer aches and less stiffness and pain.
  • Asthmatic children show better pulmonary function and increased peak air flow. Burn injury patients report reduced pain, itching, and anxiety. High blood pressure patients demonstrate lower diastolic blood pressure, anxiety, and stress hormones.
  • People with scoliosis have had improvements after receiving massage
  • Premenstrual syndrome sufferers have decreased water retention and cramping.
