Giclée printing - Limited Editions
(pronounced zhee-CLAY)

Giclée represents a revolution in printmaking. Images are generated from high resolution digital scans directly from the artwork and printed with archival quality inks onto a variety of media including canvas, fine art, watercolour and photo-base paper. Since many artists now produce only digital art or photos, there is often no "original" that can be hung on a wall. Giclées solve that problem, creating a whole new vibrant medium for artists and photographers.

Giclées are superior to traditional lithography in several ways. The colours are brighter, lightfast, and are printed at such high-resolution that they are virtually continuous tone, rather than tiny dots. Because each print is produced individually, the giclée printing process provides better colour accuracy than any other means of reproduction, with the artist able to adjust the colours until exactly the right effect is achieved. Another tremendous advantage of giclée printing is that digital images can be reproduced to almost any size and onto various media, giving the artist the ability to customize prints for a specific client.

Most of the paintings and all of the photographs on this website are available as giclée Limited Edition Prints.

They are reproduced on archive quality Hahnemühle fine art paper (308 gsm), using the Epson UltraChrome K3™ inks which ensures exceptional longevity and colour permanence. All prints have a generous white border for easy framing and every print is stamped, signed and numbered. Each edition is limited to 500 prints.

As mentioned above, these prints can also be custom made to suit almost any requirement and I would be happy to entertain any requests you may have such as extra large prints, canvas reproductions or licensing.
