Beech Hill Recycles!
Can
Crusher |
During the recent Repak National Recycling
Week, the students of 6R Applied Leaving Certificate class set up a recycling stand in the
dining area of the college. Monaghan County Council provided a can crusher, leaflets and
posters. The dining area was transformed into a veritable recycling bank. Students crushed
cans, bagged white paper, coloured paper, plastic bottles and sweet wrappers. 6R
encouraged and advised the general school population on their recycling endeavours in the
hope that the knowledge acquired would inspire those at home to recycle more! |

the Centre |
The following week, 6R brought all the
recyclable material to the Recycling Factory in Cremartin where they saw how recycling
actually works. Although Recycling Week at the college has officially ended, it is hoped
that the students will continue, both in school and at home, to recycle as many materials
as possible and thus, play their part in protecting the wonderful environment in which we
all live. |
