Sat 1 JAN - 3 Avocets at Tacumshin (Wexford), 100+ Waxwings at Newry (Down), 100+ Waxwings at Dundalk (Louth), 15 Waxwings at Gorey (Wexford), 50+ Waxwings at Dundrum (Dublin), 2 Waxwings were at Kilrea (Derry), Ferruginous Duck at Craigavon (Armagh), Snow Goose and Green-winged Teal at the North Slob (Wexford), American Herring Gull, 3 Glaucous, 2 Iceland and 2 Ring-billed Gulls at Nimmo’s Pier (Galway)

SUN 2 JAN - Short-billed Dowitcher present today on the south lagoon at the Bull Island NNR (Dublin), Little Ringed Plover at Ballycotton (Cork), 3 Avocets at Tacumshin (Wexford), Curlew Sandpiper at Swords (Dublin), Forster’s Tern at Strangford Lough (Down) along with 3 Sandwich Terns, 2 Surf Scoters were still in Brandon Bay (Kerry), Snow Goose, 7 Pink-footed Geese and 9 Barnacle Geese at the North Slob (Wexford), 3 Glaucous, 3 Iceland, 2 Ring-billed and the 2W American Herring Gull at Nimmo’s Pier (Galway), Ring-billed Gulls also at Tralee (Kerry), at Cobh (Cork) where 9 Mediterranean Gulls were seen, and at Whitehouse lagoon (Antrim), the Turtle Dove at Midleton (Cork) was also seen again today, 50+ Waxwings were in Dundrum (Dublin)

MON 3 JAN - Short-billed Dowitcher at the Bull Island NNR (Dublin), Black Duck at Keele Lough (Mayo), Snow Goose at the North Slob (Wexford), Ring-necked Duck at the Gearagh (Cork), 4 Glaucous and 2 Iceland Gulls at Nimmo’s Pier (Galway), 100+ Waxwings at Dundalk (Louth), 50+ Waxwings at Dundrum (Dublin)

TUE 4 JAN - A 1W “Kumlien’s” Gull, American Herring Gull, 4 Glaucous, 3 Iceland and 3 Ring-billed Gulls were at Nimmo’s Pier (Galway), 3 Iceland Gulls were at Cartron (Sligo), 144 Waxwings were counted in Dundalk (Louth), Glaucous Gull at Howth (Dublin)

WED 5 JAN - 5 Iceland Gulls and 2 Little Egrets reported from Rossaveal (Galway), the Short-billed Dowitcher was still at the Bull Island NNR (Dublin), 3 Iceland Gulls were at Cartron (Sligo), Glaucous Gull at Belfast Lough (Antrim), 100 Waxwings were seen near Marley Park (Dublin), 100+ Waxwings at Dundalk (Louth)

THU 6 JAN - An adult Ross’s Gull was found at Nimmo’s Pier (Galway) where a 1W “Kumlien’s” Gull, the 2W American Herring Gull, 7 Glaucous and 6 Iceland Gulls were also present, 100 Waxwings at Ballyclare (Antrim), Spoonbill at Baltimore (Cork), 1W Iceland Gull at Lough Acrussel, Enniskillen (Fermanagh)

FRI 7 JAN - Two 1W “Kumlien’s” Gulls, 10 Iceland, 6 Glaucous and 1 Yellow-legged Gull at Culmore Dump (Derry), 7 Iceland, 3 Glaucous, 1 Ring-billed Gull at Nimmo’s Pier (Galway), 25 Waxwings at Greystones (Wicklow)
