TUE 1 JUN - Greater Yellowlegs seen again at Quoile Pondage (Down), the Osprey was still at Lurgangreen (Louth) and 2 Turtle Doves were on Cape Clear Island (Cork). WED 2 JUN - Greater Yellowlegs at Quoile Pondage (Down), Ospreys were reported from Wexford harbour (Wexford), Seabank (Louth) and from Portmore Lough (Antrim), a first-summer male Common Rosefinch and 3 Turtle Doves were on Cape Clear (Cork) and a Turtle Dove was at the Belfast Lough RSPB reserve (Antrim). News was also released today of a Dark-eyed Junco present at a private site in Whitehead (Antrim) from last week up to 30th May. THU 3 JUN - Greater Yellowlegs at Quoile Pondage (Down), Osprey at Oxford Island RSPB reserve (Antrim), Common Rosefinch and Turtle Dove on Cape Clear Island (Cork). FRI 4 JUN - Greater Yellowlegs at Quoile Pondage (Down), Common Rosefinch and Turtle Dove on Cape Clear (Cork), Wood Sandpiper and 3 Glaucous Gulls at Belfast Lough RSPB (Antrim), Spoonbill at Clonakilty (Cork). SAT 5 JUN - A first-summer Forster's Tern was reported from Tory Island (Donegal), male American Wigeon at Lough Beg (Derry), Osprey still in Wexford harbour (Wexford), Wood Sandpiper, Yellow-legged Gull and 3 Glaucous Gulls at Belfast Lough RSPB (Antrim) and Spoonbill at Clonakilty (Cork). SUN 6 JUN - A Pied Flycatcher and a Turtle Dove were on Dursey Island (Cork), Wood Sandpiper at Belfast Lough RSPB (Antrim), Little Gull at Tacumshin (Wexford). MON 7 JUN - Greater Yellowlegs back at the Quoile Pondage (Down), 2nd cal-yr. American Herring Gull and Glaucous Gull at Nimmo's Pier (Galway), adult Yellow-legged Gull in Lesser Black-backed Gull colony on Lower Lough Erne (Fermanagh) and Spoonbill at Clonakilty (Cork). TUE 8 JUN - Spoonbill at Clonakilty (Cork) and an unseasonal Whooper Swan was at Kilcoole while a Fieldfare was at nearby Newcastle (Wicklow). WED 9 JUN - An Osprey was found at Knockmore Bay on Lough Conn (Mayo) and an Iceland Gull was reported from Ballyfermot (Dublin). THU 10 JUN - Greater Yellowlegs at Quoile Pondage (Down) and a Cory's Shearwater was seen off Galley Head (Cork). FRI 11 JUN - Greater Yellowlegs at Quoile Pondage (Down), Pectoral Sandpiper at Annagh Marsh (Mayo), Black Tern at Portmore Lough (Antrim) and Wood Sandpiper at Belfast Lough RSPB (Antrim). SAT 12 JUN - Greater Yellowlegs and Wood Sandpiper at Quoile Pondage (Down), Spoonbill at Clonakilty (Cork), 2nd cal-yr. American Herring Gull and Glaucous Gull at Nimmo's Pier (Galway). SUN 13 JUN - Greater Yellowlegs at Quolie Pondage (Down), Little Ringed Plover at Belfast Lough RSPB (Antrim), Spoonbill at Clonakilty and Glaucous Gull at Cobh (Cork) and a European White-fronted Goose was at Lurgangreen (Louth). MON 14 JUN - Greater Yellowlegs at Quoile Pondage (Down) while an Osprey was also seen there today, Glaucous Gull at Cobh (Cork). TUE 15 JUN - Greater Yellowlegs at Quoile Pondage (Down) for it's 23rd day, a Temminck's Stint was found at Belfast Lough RSPB (Antrim), WED 16 JUN - Greater Yellowlegs at Quoile Pondage (Down), 2nd cal-yr. American Herring Gull and Glaucous Gull at Nimmo's Pier (Galway), and a Turtle Dove was seen at Shankill (Dublin). THU 17 JUN - Spoonbill at Clonakilty (Cork). FRI 18 JUN - Spoonbill at Clonakilty (Cork) and Marsh Harrier at Tacumshin (Wexford). SAT 19 JUN - Osprey at Quoile Pondage (Down) but no sign of the Greater Yellowlegs there, Spoonbill at Clonakilty (Cork), 4 Arctic Skuas off Silver Strand (Galway). SUN 20 JUN - American Herring Gull and Glaucous Gull at Nimmo's Pier (Galway), Spoonbill at Clonakilty (Cork), Glaucous Gull at Cobh (Cork). MON 21 JUN - American Herring Gull at Nimmo's Pier (Galway), Spoonbill at Clonakilty (Cork). TUE 22 JUN - American Herring Gull and Glaucous Gull at Nimmo's Pier (Galway), Spoonbill at Clonakilty (Cork) and Glaucous Gull at Cobh (Cork). WED 23 JUN - Ring-billed Gull at Sandymount (Dublin), Glaucous Gull at Cobh (Cork). THU 24 JUN - American Herring Gull at Nimmo's Pier (Galway), Glaucous Gull at Cobh (Cork), Marsh Harrier at Tacumshin (Wexford). FRI 25 JUN - A probable Golden Eagle was seen near Brosna (Kerry), American Herring Gull and Glaucous Gull at Nimmo's Pier (Galway), a Black-throated Diver and 4 Arctic Skuas were off Silver Strand (Galway). SAT 26 JUN - 1 Sooty Shearwater, 2 Storm Petrels, 1 Arctic and 6 Great Skuas off Galley Head (Cork), Sooty Shearwater and Storm Petrel off Howth (Dublin), American Herring Gull and Glaucous Gull at Nimmo's Pier (Galway), 2 Marsh Harriers were at Tacumshin and another was at Ring Marsh (Wexford) and 2 Whooper Swans were seen on a lake near Monaghan Town (Monaghan). SUN 27 JUN - A Yellow-legged Gull was at Whitehouse Lagoons near Belfast (Antrim), American Herring Gull and Glaucous Gull at Nimmo's Pier (Galway). MON 28 JUN - American Herring Gull and Glaucous Gull at Nimmo's Pier (Galway). TUE 29 JUN - A Wood Warbler was seen at Oakland Forest near New Ross (Wexford), American Herring Gull and Glaucous Gull at Nimmo's Pier (Galway), Sooty Shearwater and 2 Great Skuas off Cape Clear (Cork) and a report was received today of a possible Red-footed Falcon seen 4km north-west of Malin (Donegal) on Sunday 27th. WED 30 JUN - A Short-billed Dowitcher in first-summer plumage was found today at Lady's Island Lake (Wexford) and an Osprey was seen at Shane's Castle (Antrim). | ||
