PLEASE NOTE...ONLY A SMALL NUMBER OF TABLES ARE KEPT IN STOCK..THE TABLE OF YOUR CHOICE WILL GENERALLY BE MADE TO ORDER.

All of the bird-feeders shown here are practical designs but you may have a preference for a particular design. Some of the criteria for consideration are as follows;
1. Most important is that you like the design for your garden.
2. Consider the location where you would place the feeder;
a) Feeder on a post which is placed in the ground.
b) Hanging feeder to place in a tree, on a shed, on the wall of a house.
c) Free-standing feeder for use on a patio or balcony.

Do bear in mind that you should minimise the risk to the birds from cats. This is normally achieved by having the table sufficiently high off the ground (as with the post type), and not close to a high wall or other position from which a cat could jump unseen.

Main categories of bird-feeders.
a)Hopper feeders.
Examples of this category are feeders No.1,,,No.8,,,No.14.
These all have seed retained inside the glass. The seed feeds automatically from the gap between the glass and the platform so they don't need filling every day.
a)sunken platform feeders.
Examples of this category are feeders No.10,,No.12,,,No.13,,No.15,,,No.16.
The platform has sides so seed can be placed directly on the platform.
a)open platform feeders.
Examples of this category are feeders ,No.6,,No.7,,,No.11.
In the case of No6,,No.7,,and No.11 there is glass along two sides to help retain the seed but still give visibility of the birds.

BIRD FOOD
Choice of food
If you do not wish to attract large birds such as magpies, rooks, seagulls, (or even four-legged furry creatures), then please refrain from putting out food scraps, especially meat.
Wild bird seed is readily available at all pet shops and at main stores such as Woodies. This can be used all year round. The birds will reckognise your feeder as a constant source of food and even migrating birds will stay around longer knowing there is a regular source of food.
Peanuts are also available from the same sources and are great to encourage the blue tits, coal tits, great tits, greenfinches. It is always a good idea to hang a peanut holder at or near the feeder. Bird Feeder No.14 has one incorporated in the design.
Bad apples cut into pieces can be enjoyed by blackbirds especially in Winter.
Please do not forget to provide a source of water all year round too.

If you want to particularly use a bird feeder which is designed especially with the smaller birds in mind then you could consider No.6(version with small openings), No.8, 10, 14, 15 and 16.

BELOW ARE PHOTOGRAPHS AND DETAILS OF THE BIRD-TABLES FOR YOU TO PERUSE AT YOUR LEISURE OR PRINT.
Please note that all bird tables are now made from solid wood. No mdf or other composite materials are used as even with wood preserver and yacht varnish such materials can perform poorly in our climate.
