2006 School Quiz

Twenty four excellent teams took part from 7 schools. As always scores were very high and very close, eventually there was a single winning team from Willow Park, winning by one point with joint runners up from St.Mary's National School and Willow Park.

2003 Poster Competition

Michaela Parsons of Benincasa school was runner up in the Regional finals of the Poster Competition.

The judges commented:
Michaela's magical world and the way she placed her Credit Union at the centre of her poster says it all. It is an image of an ideal world of financial security where all dreams come through thanks to Credit Union backup. The strength of the tall buildings, the harmony of the hill and roads leading to the source of financial help, create an environment full of potential.

2004 Schools Quiz

The 2004 quiz was a great event, held as usual in Scoil Lorcain. There were 26 teams of very high standard - the top 7 teams were separated in the end by only 2 points. There was a tie for first place between two teams from Guardian Angels'. Both teams again got all 5 questions right and the result was decided by the team that came closest in guessing the number of stations on the Dart line.
The winning team comprised: Casey O'Toole, Fionn O'Riain, Gillian Brett, Peadar Keegan.
The runners up were: Colm Egan, Eimear O'Keefe, Lauren Dooley, Claudia Fitzsimons.
