COURSES FOR EMERGENCIES.

Emergencies occur at sea! even to the most experienced sailor, out on the water help may be hours or even days away. An emergency situation at sea is quite different from one on the land when help is readily available. The following courses will enable you to deal with an emergency until the rescue services arrive.

THE RADIO VHF/RT. D.S.C. SRC. Course.

The VHF/RT gives us the opportunity to contact other vessels and Coastguard Radio Stations by means of the Radio Telephone (RT). Coastguard Radio Stations sited around the coastlines of all countries are on watch 24.hrs a day, every day of the year. When assistance is required or an emergency occurs, the Coastguard Radio Stations are always on hand to advise and help. No sensible person puts to sea without a VHF/RT. and knows how to operate it correctly; the course for you is listed below.
