Limerick County Information Page! This is a list of Macra members from throughout County Limerick who are on the County Committee. They administer the Clubs in the County and they organise competitions and events for the ordinary member.

Development: Bridget Fitzgerald (Ballylanders) (President), Mary Conway, Dermot Carey (Killmallock) Denis Fitzgerald (Castleside), Cora McNamara ( Kilteely, National Council Representative).
Finance: Seamus O'Riordan (Treasurer), Ger Murnane (Croom) Kevin Dore (Castleside), Karen Healy (Croom)
Sports, Leisure and Travel: Olivia O'Leary (PRO),  Mary Walsh (Kildimo), Mary Allen (Kildimo, Arts Officer). P.J. O'Sullivan (Ballylanders, Travel Officer). Noreen O'Connell (Boher).
Competitions: Aidan Gleeson (Killmallock), Olive O'Brien (Ballybrown) Helena Fitzgerald, Valerie Grace (Ballybrown).
Young Farmers Discussion Group: Lorraine Horan (Ass. Secretary), T.J. Flahive (Western Vale). Clubs In The County!   Ballingarry: Well established and  active club. They celebrated 50 years in existence last Spring. Membership is drawn from Rathkeale area.
Ballybrown: Home of mastermind Matthew Potter. Well known for their Light Entertainment and for talent in the past but not very active today. Situated just west of Limerick City between the villages of Mungret and Clarina.
Ballylanders: Situated in the south-east of the county. The biggest club in the country with 100 members and one of the most active clubs in the county.

Boher : Situated about 8 miles South East on the N24 from Limerick City. It is a fairly active club with 30 members. Click here for more details.
Castleside:  Formed in Spring 1998 it is based in Newcastlewest. The members are very enthusiastic as they took on the running of the county final of the Dublin City Talent in their first year.
Cappamore: Set in foothills of the Silvermines. They have started a local Agricultural Show back in the 1950s which is still being held every August. Not very active of late.
Croom:  An active club from the very center of the county. County Chairperson Ger Murnane is a member of this club.
Feenagh:  A once very active club in the deep south of the county they are not up too much lately. A number of their members traveled on the county holiday to Majorca last September.
Galbally: The tidiest village in the county, not too far from Ballylanders. The club there although a few years old isn't very active.
Kildimo: Situated about 8 miles west of Limerick City.  County President Mary Conway hails from this club. Due to it's low membership it is not very active.
Killmallock:  The biggest Macra club after Ballylanders in the whole country with a membership of 70+. Surprisingly they nearly threw in the towel about 4 years ago due to failure to recruit new members. Naturally very active, they have the power to win most of the competitions in the county. Set in a small town in the south of the county.
Kilteely:  Located in the east of the county with Pallasgreen and Hospital in it's catchment area.  Not very active at the moment but took on a foriegn exchange programme in the last year.

Raheen: New club formed in the South Western suburb of Limerick City.
St Senan:  Located towards the north west of the county near Foynes and Shanagolden. Whoever the are, they are not active bunch of people.

University of Limerick: Formed in November 1999, This new club caters for the students in this Castletroy Campus.
Western Vale:  Located in the south west of the county in the Dromcollogher and broadford areas.  Although two of their members are in the county the club isn't very active. formed about 4 years ago.
