The Tall Ships Festival was held in my home port of Cork in 1991.
The day of departure was grey and overcast. Sedov, the largest fully rigged ship in the world, set most of her aged sails for the occasion and was flying the Hammer and Sickle for
probably the last time. The new Russian flag came into being the same month.
