Stormy day at Cuas

The Bóthar Pub is located on the Dingle Way (Slí Chorca Dhuibhne) walking route in the town land of Ballycurrane. We are just a short distance from the start of one of the most peaceful and spectacular legs of the Dingle Way: the walk across Brandon Mountain to Brandon village.

Summer flowers

The Dingle Peninsula is steeped in ancient history. The area around the Bóthar Pub is no exception, with many excellent ruins, 'beehive' huts and ringforts to be explored.

Monument at Cuas

Cathair Fionnúrach, one of Ireland's best-preserved stone ringforts, is situated nearby.

The Bóthar Pub is the perfect base from which to organise your walking, cycling or sightseeing holiday. We are literally surrounded by breathtaking scenery.

Brandon Mountain

The area's varied marine, coastal and inland environments support a wealth of wildlife. Probably the most visible aspect is the bursting seasonal array of flowering plants.

Beehive hut

Legend states that Saint Brendan 'the Navigator' set sail from Cuas harbour on a voyage across the North Atlantic in the 6th century AD. It seems he reached North America 900 years before Columbus!
