This year's Fleadh by the Feale will commence from May 1st to 5th 2008.

This years festival programme includes music, singing, workshops, competitions, sessions and a junior art display. We also have information about our exciting traditional celebrity concert this year featuring Sharon Shannon & her band including Michael McGoldrick, Dezi Donnelly & Jim Murray Sunday 4th May 2008.

Thursday May 1st 2008
7.30pm Presentation of Art Poster Prizes and Exhibition. Venue - Abbeyfeale Library

9.30pm Gathering Sessions of Music, Song & Dance.

Friday May 2nd 2008.
8.00pm Traditional Street Busking Competition for Beginners, Juniors, Intermediate & Senior Groups

[Max 6 persons] Groups must provide Irish Traditional entertainment.

1.30pm Registration for Traditional "Master Workshop Classes " in Convent National School

Classes objectives: Improve technique & skills in Improvers & Advanced categories.
Classes Commence - 2.00pm.

(Students are advised to bring Tape Recorders.)

Registration Fee:
€10 Registration is permissible on the day, but it is advised to book in advance by posting registration details & Fee to: Maureen Murphy, 1 Willowbrook, Killarney Rd., Abbeyfeale, Co. Limerick.

N.B:
(In event of high demand for classes, a first come first served basis will apply.)
Eligibility: Unsuitable for beginners. Open to all ages, Junior or Senior. (Spectators Not Allowed)

Launch of a C.D/DVD. 'Best of the West' featuring: West Limerick 102fm celebrity Traditional Concert held in Abbeyfeale in November 2007. "The very best of music from the West Limerick musicians."

3.30pm Traditional Outdoor Entertainment & Junior Bone Palying Competition

Post registration (contestants name & address) with Fee ( €10 cheque) to: Mrs. Maureen Murphy, 1 Willowbrook, Killarney Rd., Abbeyfeale, Co. Limerick, Ireland.
NB: Competition open to all over 18yrs. Entries for Bone Playing competition must be received with fee of €10 before April 30th. 2008.
