Eithne Egan.
Eithne has come from an Irish Traditional music background,
which has been strongly influenced by her father, the
late Martin Mc Cabe, former President of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí
Eireann. From an early age she developed an interest in
the Uilleann Pipes, began tuition with Brian Vallely,
and became a member of the Armagh pipers club. She has
a diploma in teaching traditional Irish music and became
an accomplished adjudicator at many fleadh cheoil and
other music competitions. She has performed on RTE television
music programmes, such as SBB ína Shuí,
Trom agus Adrom and The RTE Sunday morning Mass. She has
performed at ‘An tAifreann’, accompanied by
well-known musicians and singers such as Cristoir Kearney,
Séamus Mac Mathùna, Màire Ní
Ghràda and Ann Mulqueen. It was from this that
she grew a love for performing and creates a magical sound
playing Uilleann pipes in the church.

Ciara Egan.
Ciara began playing piano from a young age, and originally
began learning classical music but felt her passion was
in Irish traditional music. She has achieved grades in both
styles of piano playing. This led her to the University
of Limerick, where she studied for her Batchelor Of Arts
Degree, in ‘Irish Music and Dance’. Throughout
her studies she was tutored by well known Traditional Irish
piano players such as Geraldine Cotter, Patsy Broderick,
Charlie Lennon, Caoimhín Vallely and has undergone
several workshops with Michael O Suilleabhain. She holds
a strong passion for music and is an accomplished pianist
and accompanist. Ciara has an amazing ear and natural talent
for music, which she uses to create the most beautiful piano
arrangements for virtually any piece of music.
