2008 Season: Don't forget - every Sigma33 must have either a valid Sigma 33 One Design IRC Certificate
or a valid Class Administered One Design Certificate
to race in class events.
IRC Certificates can be issued either
on
the basis of a 'Sigma 33 One Design'
where
each yacht in class receives the same
TCF
rating based on a standard measurement,
or
on the basis of an individual measurement,
which will typically result in a slightly
better TCF rating. A boat that chooses
the
latter option must also be in possession of a Class Administered
One Design Certificate to participate in
Sigma 33 OOD One Design events.
The IRC certificate must be renewed every
year, and a new certificate (including remeasurement)
must be issued on change of ownership.
IRC certificates are issued by the RORC for UK registered boats (and prior
to 2006 for Irish registered boats also).
The RORC can be contacted at:
RORC Rating Office, Seahorse Building, Bath Road, Lymington, Hampshire,
